Orientation Roundup: Sleepy Monday Edition

December 10th, 2007 · 6 Comments

Today was hospital orientation. It was actually inspiring at times…I’m glad to be on board. I like the job already, which probably helped. I got to defer it by two weeks, so it didn’t hit me up front.

Here’s a roundup of some of good posts from the last week!

Sasha at Consumerism Commentary wrote about some consumable Christmas gifts–they’ll help your giftee avoid clutter. Weight may be another story…  And speaking of other stories, Flexo linked back to his story about when he became CFO of his own life!

Green Panda Treehouse has some ideas about what to do with your holiday bonus. And no, buying a new iPod isn’t one of them. Plus, she wrote about starting an IRA without a lot of money. Good for us younger people. :) (and older ones who haven’t yet started)

Over My Two Dollars, David helps us get organized in the New Year–something we could all probably use. He also did an excellent piece on making your own Christmas cards and saving money.

And Plonkee tells us that yes, it’s too late to have an expensive Christmas. Sorry. But fortunately, we can buy children the latest fad toys, as long as we make it an educational experience.

Until tomorrow, then…when I have a guest post over at Green Panda Treehouse!
