Following the advice in a recent comment by David Hunt, I put together a Yahoo Pipe which compiles writing/editing job and writing gig feeds from the biggest Craiglist cities (in the about, cities page, they’re the ones on the left column. I didn’t do every city with a Craigslist, because that would have been insane).
The pipe can be found here: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=cslGb8qX3BGghA3K6UjTQA and it should work.
If you want to put one together either follow the commenter’s link or use the Yahoo pipes tutorial–or do both, like I did. 
You can also use pipes for things like watching for king-size beds on local craigslist and whatnot. Go nuts!

Glad you found the tip useful. I used Yahoo Pipes for my recent housing search through Craigslist. It’s pretty nice to be able to filter and join searches in anyway you like.
