Mrs. Micah: Finance for a Freelance Life

Opening post — and no, I’m not anti-feminist

August 7th, 2007 · 1 Comment

I felt weird naming this blog Mrs. Micah, but I get so frustrated figuring out aliases. And, no offense meant, reader, I don’t trust teh interwebs enough that I’d put my real name on here. If you know me, you will likely recognize me. If not, well I’m not worth your effort…

Stalking, that is. Or any tracking me down. I hope I’m worth reading, at least now and then.

So back to Mrs. Micah. I’m a feminist of sorts, kept my maiden name AND took my husband’s name, plan to work, all that stuff. The title seemed appropriate because the point of the blog is that I just got married. In fact, like so many other young women, I have been married for exactly a month today. I like marriage and I love my husband. But it’s a very different situation from being single–you really can’t live with your parents, you need to find a job, you need to budget money for food and rent and the like.

So here’s my exploration of financial married life. Well, in the next post. If I put it here it would just get too long.
